Buna kar\u015f\u0131, din ve edebiyat da tepki g\u00f6stermezlerse, o haller gitgide k\u00f6kle\u015fir ve ruhun belli ba\u015fl\u0131 s\u0131fatlar\u0131ndan olur. Bu \u015fartlar i\u00e7inde ya\u015fayan fertlerde i\u00e7timai denilen iyi<br \/>\nvas\u0131flar nas\u0131l meydana gelebilir? Her taraftan s\u0131k\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve ezilmi\u015f ruhlar, kaplumba\u011fa gibi, kendi kabuklar\u0131n\u0131n i\u00e7ine saklan\u0131yorlar. Herkes kendini kurtarmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yor. Herkes yaln\u0131z kendini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yor. B\u00f6yle bir \u00e7evrede ferdi te\u015febb\u00fcsler, ferdi kahramanl\u0131klar beklemek bo\u015f yeredir. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc, \u015fahsi te\u015febb\u00fcs ve kahramanl\u0131klar\u0131n kayna\u011f\u0131, kendine g\u00fcvendir. Kendine g\u00fcven ise, ferdi ilhamlar\u0131n y\u00fcksekli\u011fi ve i\u00e7timai \u00e7evrenin elveri\u015fli olmas\u0131yla do\u011far. Fakat fertlerde egoizm ne kadar derin ise, \u015fahsi beceriksizlik ve zillete tahamm\u00fcl de o derece geni\u015ftir. Her hakka kar\u015f\u0131 bir vazife ve her vazifeye kar\u015f\u0131 bir hak; i\u015fte bu esaslar\u0131n ta\u015f\u0131d\u0131\u011f\u0131 mana! Art\u0131k ne vazifesiz hak ve ne de haks\u0131z vazife vard\u0131r. O zamana kadar bin t\u00fcrl\u00fc ailevi, i\u00e7timai, siyasi, idari zincirlerle ba\u011flanm\u0131\u015f olan fertlerin kabiliyetleri, istidatlar\u0131 ve kabiliyetleri bir sel gibi akmaya ba\u015flad\u0131. \u0130lim ve fennin ilerlemesi, g\u00fczel sanatlar\u0131n y\u00fckselmesi, harika say\u0131lacak icatlar ve ke\u015fifler insanl\u0131k tarihinde hi\u00e7 bir zaman g\u00f6r\u00fclmemi\u015f bir azametle birbirini kovalad\u0131. Ayn\u0131 i\u015f z\u00fcmresine mensup insanlar aras\u0131nda bu gibi m\u00fcesseseler, rekabet devam etmekle beraber, adeta bir aile hayat\u0131 yarat\u0131r. Bunlar birbirlerine maddi ve manevi olarak ba\u011flan\u0131rlar. Bu ba\u011f z\u00fcmre ahlak\u0131 d\u00fcsturlar\u0131n\u0131 yarat\u0131r. Z\u00fcmre ahlak\u0131 prensiplerini bozanlar, hemen z\u00fcmre birli\u011fi prensibine \u00e7arpar ve ahlaki m\u00fceyyideler bu suretle cemiyet i\u00e7inde kuvvetlenir. Fakat, i\u015f bununla da kalmaz.
